The Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) was founded in 1995. It is a young and dynamic university with almost 9,000 students, approximately 150 professors and about 300 research associates. They are supported by more than 350 highly qualified lecturers from the fields of academia, business and industry. An additional 250 employees work for the Administration, the Library and the Language Centre. The University campus is located in Hennef, Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin. In Bonn, the University runs the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (b-it) jointly with the University of Bonn, the Aachen Technical University (RWTH) and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
